My name is Emylia Rae, a serendipitous and off-the-beaten-path kind of explorer. I was raised in a family with semi-nomadic roots; coordinating trips at a young age; self-learning languages, participating in cultural exchanges, organising study tours, liaising events, and volunteering abroad.

During a rerouted flight to Shanghai, I found myself stuck in customs because my unexpected flight and hotel details weren’t printed. With no Wi-Fi, data, or computers access, I was fortunate to have my PDF downloaded on my phone, along with a dual USB drive that worked with their printer. Unfortunately, the couple beside me, relying on their iPhone, weren't so lucky (and sadly I couldn't help).
One of my many travel strategies since then?
Travel with both an iPhone and an Android.
